Stationary Engines
| In early days, we used our muscles, then animals to clear the land and plant the fields. As we progressed, we found that mechanization could take the place of horses and oxen. Soon ingenious men applied the power available from waterwheels and gas powered engines to everything imaginable. At the Western heritage center, you can see how belt driven accessories can drill wood, cut a log, run other drive belts, grind grain and accomplish many other creative and unique functions. |
